Unfortunately Intermodal 2023 is over and we are already missing those magic days full of incredible news in the logistics universe, but what were the main news and who were the main market players that attended the event?

The fair was marked by the presence of major ports in Brazil and Latin America, each with its stand ready to show the news and improvements to come. New conveyors, improvements in the reception service of ships and cargo may not seem very exciting to those who are not part of the logistics universe, however we know that in this sector every second counts and that technologies that allow faster inspection and release of cargo are essential to meet deadlines and for all our planning.

Airlines also marked a strong presence, since they also occupy a very important space in the logistic path, especially for those who seek the fastest delivery. Companies that operate worldwide, such as LATAM, Air Canada and Tap Air had their booths promoting new air routes and the sector’s novelties so that your cargo can reach its destination even faster.

While not a very popular sector in Brazil but still very important logistically, there were also several railway companies with their advertisements, mainly for local transportation as alternatives to trucks on long routes, and not only transportation companies but also companies that perform the maintenance of rails and trains, after all, for logistics to work we also need the whole route to be correctly assembled.

The big attraction of the whole fair was MSC, and no, we are not talking about the cruise company, but about the Mediterranean Shipping Company – which owns the famous cruise company. MSC is the second largest container operator in the world, and at the fair it certainly had the biggest booth, with numerous containers occupying several spaces at Intermodal 2023. Presenting innovations in its fleet, which already has more than 500 ships around the world and includes the largest container ship in the world, it took over the fair and showed that the solution for the logistical future may be in the past, with the sea recovering its space as one of the main modals for cargo transport.
MAC Logistic was present at the event together with COMEXLAND, capturing content from various areas of Logistics and Foreign Trade, to bring the biggest news in the market to you.
